Day 27: AI As A DifferentiatorPersonalization • Access • Inclusion
Differentiation is where equity meets design — and AI makes it possible at scale. When every classroom includes students working across multiple grade levels, teachers face the challenge of meeting each learner’s needs without doubling their workload. That’s where AI shines. Tools like Diffit.me, Eduaide.ai, MagicSchool.ai, and ChatGPT help teachers instantly scaffold lessons, enrich content, and translate materials to create learning experiences that are accessible, challenging, and meaningful for everyone. By designing with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in mind, AI supports teachers in planning for variability from the start — rather than reacting to it later. Every student deserves access to content that meets them where they are and stretches them toward their potential. Daily Challenge: Reflect with AI Invite teachers, students, or teams to explore how AI can turn one lesson into many learning paths. Today’s challenge focuses on using AI to personalize, extend, and adapt instruction so all learners can thrive. Steps
Extension Design a “Differentiation Day.” Invite students — or your teaching team — to explore how one lesson can meet different needs using AI. Provide three versions of the same activity (emerging, developing, and enrichment) created with tools like Diffit, Eduaide, or MagicSchool. Encourage students to choose the version that best fits their learning goals — or challenge them to move up to the next level. Use AI to generate supports, enrichment prompts, or visual aids that make learning accessible and engaging for everyone. 💡 Pro Tip from Marcia: “True differentiation starts with design. Let AI do the scaffolding so you can focus on connection, creativity, and growth.” |
